History

DB Voice Over Agency is the culmination of over 20 years experience in the voice over business. Diggy Bongz (DB) is the name that I have been known by since starting my commercial radio presenting career in 1998. The amazing thing is that I started working as a voice artist before I became a professional Radio personality when I was still a student at UCT in the early nineties. I recorded my first Voice Over commercial in 1994 doing a Pie City radio ad and I have been working as a professional voice artist ever since. Over the years I have done all kinds of recordings from audio books, internal audio visuals, retail voice over ads,  character voices for radio dramas and cartoons, movie trailers and a lot of other campaigns. As someone who truly understands what it means to be a professional voice artist, I found my self being drawn into mentoring and training up and coming voice talent, some of whom have now gone to have very successful careers. I also discovered that I work very well with children and this led to me grooming and starting Voice Artist careers of some child Voice Over artists who now have thriving careers as professional Voice Artists. Starting my own agency was a calling that I for a while thought was long overdue and I now know why this did not happen earlier in my career. I had to first mature not only as a voice artist but also as a business person and I now can proudly say that the moment has arrived, DB Voice Over Agency is here.
